A founding member of this organization, Jim Mooney has performed as soloist with the group on numerous occasions. 

Jim planned and coordinated the Mastersingers' 1997 European tour to Hungary, Austria, and Italy, the highlight of which was a performance at a service in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

Jim studied choral conducting with Dr. Arpad Darazs, founder and first conductor of the Palmetto Mastersingers.  For the past twenty-eight years, he has directed church choirs and is currently tenor soloist at Washington Street United Methodist Church. 

Jim owns and operates his own business, Jemco Market Services.  Jim and his wife, Linda, have two children, Patrick and Kristina.
